How long will it take to get a quote?

If we're moving a piano, it may take an hour or two to call you back, but in most cases we'll answer directly, and if we don't it usually doesn't take more than an hour or two to get back to you, although getting the full quote may take longer, depending on how much information is provided in the initial request.

How much will it cost?

There is no such thing as a typical move.  Each move is a different animal with multiple variables and unforeseen changes.  Thus, prices obviously vary depending on where you are going to, where you're coming from, what you're wanting to move, how many belongings you have, how many flights of stairs, elevators, long walks, if there are long walks, what time of day you move, etc.  We can either give you an itemized inventory that is agreed upon in advance, however, the price is subject to change when either the conditions or the inventory changes.  For example if a client fails to mention that they live on the fourth floor and there is no elevator, or if an apartment complex closes for two hours and the client asks us to 'take a long lunch' there will be modifications to the final price.  Please realize that these are simply examples and your quote will be specifically made based upon the conditions and items that you need moved.   The in-town hourly rate is $125 / hour, if you prefer to be billed by the hour.  Out of town moves cannot be billed hourly.  Just to get a general idea, click on the 'SERVICES AND PRICING' to see examples of jobs done.  In city and greater Austin area moving a two bedroom apartment with no special oversized furniture may cost between $250 and $500.  Inter-city moves (i.e. Austin - San Antonio/Dallas may cost between $750 and $1500, depending on the city, and inter state $2500 and up.  For Austin proper there is no separate dispatch fee, however, for Round Rock, Pflugerville, Georgetown, San Marcos, Lakeway, and all surrounding communities, there will be a one time fuel surcharge of $25.

How long does it take to move?

We typically show up to the first morning job between 8 and 9am, loading will vary depending upon your personal belongings, and then hit the road.  Unloading takes roughly the same amount of time as loading, of course depending upon conditions of the move.  For a small cross town move we can have it done before noon.
